Google Plus is probably the one and only site that can even attempt to put a dent in the behemoth that is Facebook’s social network. Posting record numbers, Google+ is up to an estimated 50 million users in just 3 months since offering the service…it took Facebook 3 years to get to that point! So should network marketers be paying attention, ABSOLUTELY!

Also, don’t forget the 70% web browsers come to Google first as it’s the most popular search engine and the largest source of traffic for many websites.

So How Do Network Marketers Get Started With Google Plus

1. Set Up Your Personal Profile

Unlike Facebook, Google+ does not yet support businesses or organizations. So as an individual business owner, you must begin to connect with influencers and leaders in your niche and make connections with people you already know.

2. Understanding How Google Plus Works

Google is great for creating step by step instructions on how to get the most their tools. It’s important to understand the features and functionality of how Google Plus works. Check out these comprehensive guides to learn everything you need to know about Google Plus:

3. Create Circles

After you configure your privacy settings and learn the features start adding Circles. Google plus allows you to create Circles, which allows you to categorize your connections and selectively share information with certain people.

You may want to post something that you only want your business acquaintances to see. You can select your “Acquaintances” circle, and only the people you’ve tagged as “Acquaintances” will be able to view that post. Mark your post as public if you want everyone to see it.This is a great way to streamline your information.

4. Decide On What To Post

As with any social network, the rule of thumb is to always give value. Before you post anything, ask yourself if it is going to be beneficial, useful or value to others. Even though you can share selectively between friends, acquaintances, family members and people you are following just be careful about what you post to make something of value.

5. Hang out in the Google Plus Space

This is a feature that as a business owner you should be definitely be taking advantage of. The hangout feature allows you to use a live webcam (videoconferencing) with up to 10 other Google + users.

6. Tagging People

If you want to mention someone in a post, you can simple type the + sign followed by their name. The Google Plus smart search will populate their name as you type. The person you mentioned will then be notified with an e-mail that they’ve been mentioned in your G+ stream.

Tagging people is a great way to network or spark up a conversation in your stream.

7. The Plus One Button

So we have all seen the Google +1 button…it was actually introduced long before Google announced their social network. if you’ve done any type of Google search you’ve seen it pop up on the side of the Google.com search engine results. The Google +1 button is a way to “vote for” or “like”content. It’s Google’s version of the Facebook “Like” button.

There are a number of reason why as network marketers we should start implementing Google Plus. As a member of the community you will get a chance to share content, provide value, and comment on other people’s content. The comment that you just “Plus Oned” is going to show up in your G+ stream along with the site.

8. Positioning Yourself For An SEO Explosion?

While we are all still waiting to see just how the Google + 1 button and social network is going to factor in to our search engine optimization, Google has stated that they are somehow going to integrate G+ data to influence ranking and SEO. We could assume that the more Google + votes you get the more SEO benefits you’ll see as a result. So if you are wondering if you should show up to the party, I say add me to the guest list.

So you could interpret that to mean sites that get more plus one votes could see an SEO benefit down the line. The bottom line is this…marketers leverage the power of the Internet through building relationships and connections and anytime you can take advantage of these connections to influence your Google’s authority you shouldn’t take it lightly.

9. A Few G+ Social Network Tips

Make sure you completely update your Google Plus profile and start adding posts. As with any social site you want people to know who you are and what you are about so take the time to update picture and info.

How To Build Your Network Marketing Business In Less Than 10 Hours A Day?

Many network marketers are disillusioned about what it really takes to build a successful MLM business online and I am on a mission to make sure that everyone who reads this blog knows there is more to network marketing success than shooting a few videos or updating your Facebook status.

I still hear people recruiting prospects online with the same ole line: you can build a business in just 1 hour a day. Not a chance buddy!

No one builds a network marketing business working that kind of schedule. Can you build a small retail business working 1 hour a day…Sure you can…but you can’t create a large organization or become unemployable working those type of hours. So how do you build your network marketing business part-time?

Most people start their network marketing businesses working part-time…but to make your efforts worthwhile you MUST commit a minimum of 10 hours a week. Once a couple of people who are ready to run with their business you are going to have to make yourself available to them to help them grow. You’ll have to be available for meetings, presentations, 3 way calls, trainings, etc. and this takes time.

But here is the hickup. While you can ask 10 marketers if they are putting at least ten hours a day into their network marketing business, and 9 of them will say yes… but what they are doing with that 10 hours is the issue.

1. Spending 2 hours a day chatting on Facebook does not count as a income producing activity

2. Tweeting your blog post does not count as an income producting activity

3. Checking your organizational tree every 30 minutes to see if your volume increased or a new rep signed up does not count as an income producing activity

4. Spending an hour on the phone with your downline “MOTIVATING” them to get out and recruit does not count as an income producing activity

5. Organizing your inventory does not count as an income producing activity

6. Sorting your files, organizing your marketing materials, and putting your conference call schedule in your iphone do not count as income producing activities.

Building a real network marketing business is all about how you spend your time building volume in our organization and this is done in a couple of ways:

1. Getting customers
2. Getting business builders (i.e. members who join as reps)

These are the only activities that product income everything else is busy work.

The difference between people who earn a few hundred dollars or a few thousand dollars a month in their network marketing business is how they use their 10 hours when starting their business. This is what separates the winners from the losers.

The losers spend all of their time with busywork while the winners spend their time focusing on income producing activities.

One of the best things you can do to maximize your income is to map out your week, lay out a gameplan for all of the activities you need to do Monday-Sunday to bring home a check. Determine exactly how and where you need to spend your 10 hours. Set aside time for presentations, follow-ups and getting started training for your new team members. These are the income producing activities that build volume and nice paychecks.

By mapping out your day and implementing activities that will produce sales and reps you will find that your business will grow much more rapidly than even you expected.

In the network marketing profession you hear a lot of stories about the power of dreams and how having a dream is the first step toward accomplishing the life you always wanted. Having a dream, a vision, a purpose drives us toward our goals. It will cause us to find the time, the money, face the fears and stay motivated through the many obstacles and challenges that try to knock us of course.

You must be willing to do whatever it takes. To fight 110% for your dreams. Even when it may seem close to impossible, when there is negativity surrounding you, and limiting circumstances standing in our way.

No one can take your dream away from you so don’t be afraid to build a dream that is so compelling that you feel it pulling you toward it. A dream has the power to affect your decisions, who you hang around with, what you decide to put your time and energy in to. It becomes a part of who you are, your very being!

Your dreams have to be your own. You don’t need approval from any one else to live out the dreams that you have and you surely shouldn’t ever be building the dreams of others before your own.

Make a public declaration, let the whole world know your intentions, your dreams and your purpose. You’ll notice a shift in your life. You will immediately start attracting those that are willing to help you achieve your goals even if they don’t know it all the while exposing those that are a burden to your progress. So let any and every one know you are on a mission and you will not falter or waiver until your dreams become reality, until you have gotten to the point where you are not just thinking about your dreams but living your dreams.

Speak affirmations of prosperity and plant the seeds to success in every action you take, reinforcing your belief in your dreams. Set aside time every day to work on having a positive attitude, to developing a winning mindset and walking in your own truth.

Winning in the network marketing profession (or any profession) is about sacrifice. It’s about your willingness to pay the price to bring your dream to life. The price you building the skills, the character, the mindset, the heart of a champion. Are you willing to pay the price to build the life you deserve?
